Bench, Miami-Dade Bar team up for trial prep Bootcamp
Deputy Chief 11th Circuit Judge Gina Beovides and veteran South Florida civil trial lawyers will share valuable insights into trial preparation later this month when they kick off the first of the Miami-Dade Bar’s “CLE Lunch + Learn Trial Bootcamp Seminars.”
The live “Perspectives from the Bench” program is a County Court Committee and the Civil Litigation Committee joint initiative and begins at noon Wednesday, September 23, on the 13th floor of the Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center. Morgan & Morgan is the sponsor and more information is available at miamidadebar.org.
“Trial Prep Maneuvers: A Full-Scale Tactical Review for Civil Litigators,” will bring together, “an impressive panel representing both the bench and the bar for a practical, inside look at the strategies and preparation techniques that can make a difference before a civil trial begins,” sponsors say.
Judge Beovides was appointed to the Miami-Dade County court in February 2016 and elevated to the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in July 2019, where she served in the circuit criminal, circuit civil, and family divisions and was re-elected in 2021. Celebrated by colleagues for her “tireless dedication to judicial education and her mentorship of fellow judges,” she was named last month as the 2026 circuit court recipient of the Chief Justice Award for Judicial Excellence.
