ORLANDO PARALEGAL ELECTED NALA PRESIDENT

Peonca Grier
An Orlando paralegal with deep ties to Central Florida’s legal community has been elected president of NALA – The Paralegal Association.
Peonca S. Grier began her one-year term as NALA president July 17 after being elected by the organization’s board of directors during its annual Conference & Expo in Denver.
"As NALA’s newly installed president, I am committed to strengthening our professional identity, so the legal community truly recognizes the expertise, judgment, and impact paralegals bring to the profession," said Grier, who has worked for more than 20 years at Dean, Ringers, Morgan & Lawton. "We will expand access to education and certification, fortify our community, embrace innovation, and honor the strategic plan built by our dedicated volunteers."
Grier has been a NALA member and certified paralegal for more than 15 years. She has held several volunteer positions with the Central Florida Paralegal Association and is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association and its Paralegal Section.
She also serves as chair of the advisory committee for Valencia College’s Paralegal Studies Program, where she is an adjunct professor. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Grier holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UCF.
As NALA president, Grier said she is "ready to lead a year of growth, connection, and powerful forward movement for paralegals across the country.”
NALA, founded in 1975, represents more than 17,000 paralegals through individual membership and affiliated associations. It provides continuing education, professional certification, and professional development programs.
